Illustrated with 61 mono illustrations from photographs by the Author and Lieutenant-Colonel Gordon Wilson, and three maps. A couple of light spots to the title page otherwise a fine, clean and crisp copy bound in late twentieth century half navy blue morocco by Bayntun of Bath. Spine with raised bands, each with gilt wavy line decoration. Compartments ruled and lettered in gilt. Light blue cloth with single gilt ruled border of the leather on the boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. The spine is sun faded, but the gilt still bright and gleaming. Overall a near fine copy.
