• 16867 Sendak, Maurice In the Night Kitchen 1970 Harper & Row, New York 1st Edition (?). Very Good /Very Good-. Text is clean. Cream colored cloth with applique illustration shows only light wear. Previous owner name blacked out from front free endpaper. Unused checkout envelope on rear pastedown, but no evidence of library use. Possible first edition, has several identifiers: 1070 at base of front flap, rear flap lists 7 Sendak titles. Front flap does not have a price, which would indicate second state Dust Jacket. Caldecott sticker does appear on front cover. Dust jacket is lightly chipped at spine ends with 2 inch tear at head of spine. . 1971 Caldecott Honor Book.
