Kōshū Hino today’s Shiga prefecture : n.d. A useful teaching tool for Asian printing history, this woodblock employed to produce handbill advertisements for a medicine called Kagen ketan Control Throat Mucus . This format of handbill, flyer, or inserted promotion is called a hikifuda 引札. The text claims the medicine derives from the recipe of a prominent doctor. We have not been able to decipher the ink text on the reverse.
